Shelby had a good tournament in Colorado Springs, at the Flying Horse Indoor Championships this weekend. Shelby played both the Girls 12's and 14's in the tournament and made the Semi finals of the Girls 12's and the Finals of the girls 14's for the event. In the girls 12's Shelby won her first round 6-1 6-0, but lost in the semi finals 6-3 3-6 (10-4 Tiebreaker) to Emily Untermeyer. In the girls 14's, Shelby won her first round, 6-2 6-0, won her second round 6-3 6-2, and her semi final match 6-4 6-3 to reach the finals. In the finals, Shelby lost to Heather Vols, the number 1 seed 6-1 6-1. All in all a good weekend of tennis and Shelby is coming along with her game each event. Now it's back to the practice courts to get ready for the Next event in October.
