Meadow Creek Satellite

Shelby had a better tournament and played much better at the Meadow Creek event. She was nervous again for the first round and was more comfortable during her second round match and played a lot more consistent during the 2nd match of the event. She keeps improving each tournament and should notch her first round win soon.

JCC Open

Shelby had a rough tournament at the JCC open. Still trying to get rid of the nerves during these events. She struggled to find her form when playing new kids she doesn't know. we are practicing 4-5 times a week right now trying to get ready for the next event, the Meadow Creek Tournament this weekend. She will try to find her form during the tournament that she shows in practice. she has 4 tournaments in the next 4 weeks so we will try to get used to calming our nerves during the matches. a few pictures below form the JCC open

String Girl

Along with playing tennis, Shelby is learning how to take care and keep her equiptment in tip top shape. She strung her first 2 rackets today with help from her Dad,so starts the long career of a player-stringer!!!!

First Tournament

Miss Shelby played her first tennis tournament tonight at the Pinery Country Club in Parker, Co. after only hitting for a few months, Shelby went up against players who have been playing for a lot longer and many more tournaments than she has. she lost her first match 8-0 and won her second match 8-7 in a tie breaker. This is her first of many tournaments that she will be playing this year.
