Team Colorado 2013

Shelby was selected for the 12 and under team, for Team Colorado for the 2013 season. Shelby was on of 7 girls picked for the team. Shelby moved up from the Devo squad last year to make the main squad this year. She will be practicing at Meadow Creek, Flying Horse and will have a trip to Steamboat in December with the team. we are looking forward to another fun season with Team Colorado

Sin City

Shelby will be playing in the Pumpkin sectional tournament in Las Vegas on November 10-13th. Shelby is one of 41 girls from around the Intermountain Section competing in the tournament in the Girls 12's singles division. Shelby will be teaming with Ellie Strande in the doubles draw for the tournament. This will be Shelby's first sectional tournament and she is looking forward to seeing Las vegas for the first time as well as playing at a lower altitude for the tournament. This will be a good way for Shelby to see the competition level at the sectional tournaments and where she needs to be for the 2013 season.

Team Colorado 2013

Shelby had tryouts for Team Colorado today for the 2013 team. Tryouts were held at the Ranch House Tennis facility in Highlands Ranch. About 30 girls showed up today for tryouts, and we should find out in a week if Shelby made the team for 2013.

Shelby has been working hard on her serve lately. she is trying to improve her form and power for a more powerful serve for Las Vegas and next season. some pictures below from her service practice at her academy.

Team Colorado 2013

Shelby has been using her time since her last tournament to get ready for the 2013 Team Colorado tryouts this weekend. Shelby has been working on improving her strokes and serve to give her the best chance for being part of the team again for 2013. tryouts are this Sunday October 7th at the Ranch House tennis facility. Lets hope for good results and a spot on the team for 2013

Southern Colorado Satelitte

Shelby played her second girls 14 satellite tournament this past weekend and was 1-1 on the day. Shelby won her first match 6-2 6-0 and lost her second round match 6-3 6-2 to a girl in high school. a good performance none the less for her second tournament in the 14's. up next is the Flying Horse Satelitte in October.
